
Papajam
Biography
Papajam is a Slovak dance duo consisting of singer Jana Chochrunová and producer/keyboardist Marek Vozár (alias Mark V), active as a remixer and solo artist before the band. Their breakthrough came in 2008 with the disco remake Keď ťa nechá dievča, which ranked them 9th on the EURODANCEWEB portal among 40 countries. In 2009, they reached the semi-finals of the Slovak Eurovision selection with Nemusiš sa báť. Their first album “No.1” was released in 2010, when their tracks appeared on compilations in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, and Poland. They followed with the singles Love, Welcome Summer (anthem for the EUROPA 2 WELCOME SUMMER festival, released as a maxi-CD by GLOBAL MUSIC in 2011), and Do What I Wanna Do (noticed by the Spanish label ROSTER MUSIC in 2012). Their career includes collaborations with agencies and labels in Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Slovakia, and Spain, concerts abroad starting in 2010 (Cork, Ireland), and presence on compilations like “Miami Ibiza Hits 2012”. The duo is working on a second album.
