P. Lion is the stage name of the Italian composer and author Pietro Paolo Pelandi, born on June 29, 1959, in Alzano Lombardo.
Active mainly between 1983 and 1995, he was launched onto the dance music market in the 1980s.
A versatile artist, he is a singer, songwriter, producer, and musician.
His music is associated with the genres Italo disco, Italo dance, and hi-NRG.
He is particularly known for his tracks Dream and Happy Children.
The latter was used as the theme song for the popular French music chart show, Top 50.
He is also known by the names Paolo Pelandi, P. Lion, P. Lion, as well as the variations P Lion, P-Lion, P. Lions, P. Lyon, and P.Lion.
