Neoclubber

Neoclubber is a Russian electropop duo formed in late 2008. The project is among the few Russian dance-pop acts that have released music abroad.

Their track Another World took part in the International Songwriting Contest (ISC 2008) and reached the competition’s top twenty, according to a jury that included Rob Thomas, Chaka Khan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tiësto and Tom Waits.

Neoclubber’s songs have appeared in playlists of numerous radio stations worldwide. In summer 2009, In the Shack entered the Top 10 of major Turkish radios such as Metro FM, Radyo Mydonose, Radyo5 and RadyoVizyon, and was later released on several bestselling compilations (including “Metro FM Dance Hits”). As a Russian project, they also occasionally release songs in Russian: Chto so mnoj (original: Don’t Believe) was their debut in Russia and quickly entered multiple local radio charts. The next track Noch (“Night”) became a summer hit in several Baltic and CIS countries; in Lithuania, Noch received the title of “best song of 2009” on Russkoje Radio Baltia. Early 2010 brought Zagadaj Zhelanie (“Make a wish”), which drew broad radio attention and reached 12th place in the Christmas Tophit chart.

Neoclubber began as an online project and went on to gain hundreds of thousands of listeners and millions of plays, downloads and views. They maintain a strong web presence and allow fans to download the latest songs for free.

On February 16, 2012, Neoclubber released a cover of Part of Me by Katy Perry, which quickly attracted major interest and earned YouTube “Bronze Trend” status with over 1,500,000 views in one week. On April 24, 2012, they released a cover of Payphone by Maroon 5, which also drew strong interest, involving 4 million people and attention from music magazines such as PopCrush.
