My Marianne

My Marianne

Biography

My Marianne is the stage name used by Swedish singer Molly Sandén for her involvement in the Netflix film “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. In the film, actress Rachel McAdams portrays the character Sigrit Ericksdóttir, but it is Molly Sandén’s voice (whose full name is Molly My Marianne Sandén) that is heard on the songs, with Rachel McAdams lip-syncing.

According to information related to the film, Sandén’s vocals were allegedly mixed with McAdams’ own voice for the tracks. The film’s music producer stated that the two artists’ timbres worked so well together that he sometimes had difficulty telling them apart when listening. However, Molly Sandén herself, after seeing the film, indicated she primarily recognized the actress’s voice only in a specific scene where she sings alone at a piano, expressing some skepticism about the announced mixing of voices on the soundtrack.

The project is thus directly linked to the Eurovision universe and musical comedy. One of its notable productions is the track Double Trouble (Tiësto's Euro 90s Tribute Remix), released in 2020, which falls within the electronic dance music genre, a remix by the famous DJ Tiësto.
