Mister Jam
Biography
Mister Jam, born Fabio Almeida de Oliveira, is a Brazilian producer, DJ, singer-songwriter and vocalist, born on November 6, 1974 in São Paulo.
Between 1996 and 2002, Mister Jam was the name of a band built around him, his sister Laura Almeida and members Rodrigo Sto. Anastácio and Edu Braga, the latter also contributing to arrangements and songwriting. This lineup released three studio albums on the Sony Music label: New Love Dimension (1996), Mr. Jam (1998) and Supersonico (2001).
After the band dissolved, Fabio kept the name Mister Jam for his solo career, focusing more on his work as a DJ and producer. It was during this period that he founded the label Maxpop Music, known for launching many expressive electronic and electropop artists such as Filipe Guerra, Lorena Simpson, Kasino, Ramada, Natália Damini and Nicky Valentine.
He reached mainstream success in 2009 with the production of the remix of the song Indecisão (Mr. Jam Remix) and with remixes for Ivete Sangalo’s track “Cadê Dalila.” From 2010 onward he expanded his production into other genres such as pop, rock and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), working with artists like Wanessa, Erikka Rodrigues, Jorge & Matheus, Vanessa da Mata, Jota Quest and Michel Telo.
He is also the remixer behind the successful series Pista Sertaneja, consisting of three volumes, and the founder of the label JamWorks Music.
