Mark ‘Oh

Biography

Mark ‘Oh, whose real name is Marko Albrecht, is a German disc jockey and electronic music producer, born on 23 June 1970 in Dorsten.

After starting out in the rock band Line Up, he turned to the emerging rave scene and adopted the stage name Mark ‘Oh, beginning his career as a DJ before moving into music production.

His first commercial success came in 1993 with the track Randy (Never Stop That Feeling); the following year he released the single Love Song and then scored his first number one in Germany and Sweden with Tears Don't Lie, which draws on the 1974 German hit Tränen lügen nicht performed by Michael Holm, itself based on the Italian tune [song]Soleado[/song] from the same year.

Although it was his only number one in Europe, Mark ‘Oh continued to release singles and produce albums for nearly two decades, maintaining a measure of success in his home country.
