Lucky Twice
Biography
Lucky Twice is a Swedish pop group originally formed by Hannah Reynold and Sofie Larsson. After their international success in 2007, Sofie Larsson left the group to pursue a career with her brother and was replaced by Emelie Schytz.
The duo—Hannah Reynold and Emelie Schytz—was signed to Family Tree Music in Sweden and managed by Victoria Ekeberg. Their debut single, Lucky, was released in Spain on 20 July 2006, reached number one on the charts, and was certified double platinum.
Their album *Young & Clever* was released in June 2007, followed by the single Hop Non Stop on 23 July the same year. The track Lucky also charted successfully in several European countries, reaching number five in Denmark, number eight in France, and number seventeen in Finland.
Despite some media interest and a performance at London’s G-A-Y, the UK single release was cancelled due to complications with record labels. The song nonetheless gained cult status in British bars and nightclubs. The group split up in early 2010.
