Liz Meyer
Biography
Elizabeth Kathryn Meyer, known as Liz Meyer, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At nine she moved to Frankfurt, Germany, because of her father’s job. From the age of ten she began professional vocal training and developed a passion for singing and performing.
During her childhood she appeared in numerous musical theatre productions and played the lead in the European musical “Annie” in Frankfurt. After a performance she was spotted by Stefan Benz of Allstar Music Productions and quickly entered the studio.
She recorded a pop demo at thirteen but finished secondary school before committing fully to music; she later studied at Michigan State University.
To launch her career she formed a pop/dance trio with producer Axel Konrad of the German group Groove Coverage and producer Stephen Singer.
The group’s first single, All I Want, was included on the Ministry of Sound compilation “Put Your Hands Up! The Biggest Dance Anthems Of All Time” and climbed the European dance charts, reaching number 3 in Switzerland. A second single, a cover of Without You by Mariah Carey, was announced.
