Livin’ Joy

Livin’ Joy

Biography

Livin’ Joy is an Italian house music project founded by producers Gianni Visnadi and Paolo Visnadi. Their debut single, Dreamer (1994), originally performed by American singer Janice Robinson, reached number one on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart and eventually topped the UK chart after a re-release.

Following Robinson’s departure, singer Tameka Starr joined the project. With her, Livin’ Joy recorded their album and achieved subsequent hits, including the flagship track Don't Stop Movin' (1996), which reached number three on the US dance chart and number five in the UK.

Further successes with Starr followed, including Follow The Rules (breaking into the UK top 10), as well as Where Can I Find Love and Deep In You (both charting in the top 20). The album Don't Stop Movin' compiled these hits, featuring a new version of Dreamer by Starr, though Robinson’s original was included as a hidden bonus track.

Remixes of Dreamer credited to Janice Robinson as a solo artist were successfully re-released in 2005. A single titled Just for the Sex of It (1999) received only a limited club release, finding some traction in Australia. Recordings for a second album, never officially released, leaked online in 2008.
