La Cream

La Cream

Biography

La Cream is a Swedish eurodance group active from 1997 to 2000. The duo consisted of singer and dancer Tess (Tess Mattisson) and DJ/producer Andréz (Andréz Abatte), who met at the Dr Records studios.

Their music, described as multicultural and modern, combined lyrics in French, Spanish and English.
Their first single, Château d'Amour, was released in May 1998; the follow-up hit You later charted on Swedish dance and radio lists.

These tracks appear on their sole album, Sound & Vision (1998), which was distributed across Scandinavia.
Their discography also includes the singles Say Goodbye and a cover of Dr. Alban‘s hit, Free (originally This Time I'm Free), to which Tess expressed a personal attachment.

Production and mixing were handled by Freddie Hogblad and Ari Lehtonen.
The group split when Tess Mattisson began a solo career.
