L.E.S. Project
Biography
The L.E.S. Project is an Italian music project active in the dance genre. It is formed by producers Oreste Spagnuolo and Mario Scalambrin, accompanied by the voice of singer Simone Galante.
The project was born somewhat by chance, its name deriving from a significant personal experience rather than initials. The first single, You're Not Alone, came about in collaboration with DJ Frankie Gada of the Dub J, before Mario Scalambrin permanently joined the venture.
Their style is described as fresh and very distinctive. Their success was confirmed with tracks like Like an Angel, a piece to which the duo is particularly attached and considers one of their most melodically accomplished, and Rock Your Body. Their creative process is presented as energetic and spontaneous.
The members have extensive experience in the Italian dance scene. Oreste Spagnuolo notably worked on productions for Under 4 (Lies), Estrella (Y Sigue Segue Más with Graziano Fanelli), Maverick (Feel The Rythm), Claudio Lancini (Love Is), and Horizon (I Live On My Own). For his part, Mario Scalambrin is known for his work with the 49ers (Baby I’m Yours), as well as on tracks by Sharada House Gang (Gypsy Boy), Echoes Of Sound (Need Somebody), and again Maverick.
The project has also collaborated with important figures in Italian dance, notably Gigi D'agostino. Under other aliases, the members are also active as French Kiss and Level 6.
