Krewella

Krewella is an electronic music group formed in Chicago, consisting of the sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf, formerly joined by producer Kris Trindl (alias Rain Man). The trio formed in 2007 but did not release their first material until 2011, uploading a few tracks to their SoundCloud page, including the energetic song Life of the Party.

In 2012, the group self-produced their first two EPs: *Play Hard* in June, featuring the reggae-influenced track Killin It, followed by *Play Harder* in December. The first EP reached number ten on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. That same year, Krewella became a staple on the festival circuit, performing at events such as Electric Zoo in New York and Meltdown in Texas.

Their music, often described as genre-defying, blends catchy melodies with powerful dubstep drops. Their stage presence and DJ sets are renowned for their contagious energy and punchy basslines. The group was quickly hailed as one of the fastest-growing projects in the EDM scene at the time.
