Kelli-Leigh
Biography
Kelli-Leigh, full name Kelli-Leigh Henry-Davila, is a pop singer from London, UK.
Born on May 3, 1985 in South London, she was encouraged from a young age to be creative, as her mother was herself a singer, songwriter, and artist. She studied at the BRIT School, where she collaborated and performed alongside some of the best-selling artists of the time.
Alongside her solo projects, Kelli-Leigh forms the creative duo KI with London-based musician and DJ Butcherd Beats (also known as Izzy B). In 2006, the duo independently released a debut album titled *Before We Breathe*, which sold well through platforms like iTunes and CD Baby. KI performed several mini-tours in Croatia for the ‘Hemingway Bar’ and played at various exclusive venues and festivals across the UK. Their tracks have also been featured on various compilations and played in numerous British and international high street stores.
Kelli-Leigh also worked as a vocalist for the musical entertainment group High on Heels, with whom she toured internationally. More recently, she provided backing vocals for Adele during her concerts in the USA and Europe.
Now focusing on her solo path, Kelli-Leigh describes her music as a “fusion of rock, funk, and soul,” where her voice and lyrics take center stage. Her musical influences are broad, ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Skin from the band Skunk Anansie.
In early 2012, she released her first solo project, the EP *I Am Here*, containing six original songs. Her style is associated with genres such as pop, dance, house, and drum and bass.
