Kay Cee

Kay Cee

Biography

A flagship project of the German trance scene since 1997, Kay Cee (or Kaycee) is known for its energetic fusion of pure trance and club sounds, blending evocative harmonies, techno rhythms, and pop accents. This mix, a perfect symbiosis, creates hits with strong crossover potential.

The project emerged with the success of Escape, which also titled the debut album. Its trajectory was crowned by a nomination for the first German Dance Award (category “Best National Solo Artist”) and 2nd place in the 1999 annual chart of the German Dance Charts.

Kay Cee is primarily embodied by Finnish DJ/producer Oliver Huntemann, closely collaborating with Stephan Bodzin from their “Super-8” studio in Bremen. The duo is also behind the projects Taiko, Mojave, and Jeux Floraux.

As a DJ, Oliver Huntemann has been rocking dancefloors for over a decade, performing at legendary clubs (Tresor, E-Werk in Berlin, Stammheim in Kassel) and mega-events like Loveparade or Time Warp.

Alongside his production work and global touring schedule, he manages the labels Confused Recordings and Spezial Music, which have hosted releases from artists such as Thomas Schumacher, Clemens Neufeld, and Motion Unit.
