Biography
Kathleen Emperatriz DeLuna, known as Kat Deluna, was born on November 17, 1987, in the Bronx, New York.
Of Dominican-American descent, she lived for a time in the Dominican Republic where, at the age of twelve, she was noticed by singer Milly Quezada during a stage performance.
Returning to the United States at fourteen, she settled in Newark, New Jersey, and studied at Newark Arts High School. There, she formed an R&B group named Coquette with friends.
In 2006, she began a solo career and signed with Epic Records. Her first album, *9 Lives*, released in August 2007, includes the singles Whine Up, Run The Show, and In The End.
Her second album, *Inside Out*, was released in Belgium in November 2010, with singles such as Push Push and Party O'Clock. She sings in English and Spanish.
