Kai Tracid
Biography
Kai Tracid, born Kai Franz on 17 January 1972 in Frankfurt am Main, is a German music producer and DJ.
His stage name Tracid is a portmanteau reflecting the fusion of trance and acid in his productions.
He became known in Germany with his second single, Your Own Reality, and gained worldwide recognition in 1998 with Liquid Skies. In November 2001 he achieved his first top-10 entry on the German charts.
Since 2000 he has released records on his own label, Tracid Traxxx. After pausing his musical career in 2009, he returned in 2020 with the collaborative single DT64.
