Biography
K5 is a musical project led by the artist, songwriter and producer Kevin Shiver, who is the founder and namesake of the collective.
The group also includes the members Mark Hibbard, Tammy Wright, Christian Michaels, Mickey Bono and Tessa Calina.
The name K5, created in 1995, combines the letter K (from Kevin Shiver’s initials KJ) with the number 5, as a tribute to his former band Project 5. In astronomy, K5 also corresponds to the classification of the brightest stars.
Their musical style is in the electronic genre, with a marked influence from freestyle and freestyle dance.
