Biography
Julie Bergan is a Norwegian singer and singer-songwriter. She began her career as a featured artist on the track Supernova before debuting solo in 2014 with her first single Younger.
Doors truly opened for her with the release of the hit All Hours in October 2015, followed by I Kinda Like It in February 2016. In 2016 she reached number one on the Norwegian charts with the hit Arigato, earning multiple gold and platinum records.
She charmed Nordic audiences with performances on the Danish X Factor and the Norwegian version of Idol alongside Tinie Tempah. She toured Europe in sold-out venues with Jess Glynne, opened for Justin Bieber in Norway and Spain, and played numerous concerts and festivals with her live band.
Her song Arigato earned a nomination for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Norwegian P3 Gull music awards; she was also nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ and performed the song live at the ceremony.
She began 2017 with the release of the single Blackout on 13 January and a nomination for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Spellemann (the Norwegian Grammys) with Arigato, where she was scheduled to perform both tracks. Over the course of her career she has exceeded 100 million streams.
With a powerful and versatile voice combined with a playful, energetic stage presence, Julie Bergan has established herself at the center of the Norwegian music scene.
