Biography
Julian M is the stage name of Romanian musician Julian Morris.
He is also active as an experimental and ambient producer under the pseudonym Noverbia.
He was introduced to electronic music around 1990 by discovering his father’s recordings on cassettes and vinyl, primarily 70s synth-rock and 80s electro-pop.
He began mixing around 1998, first on the radio, then in clubs and beach bars.
With friends, he organized the first rave parties on the Black Sea coast in 2003.
He contributed to promoting electronic music in Romania through various events and radio shows.
As a DJ, he is primarily oriented towards deep house and favors the use of vinyl turntables, being rather opposed to mixing software or digital music.
His mixes are mainly eclectic, covering a wide range of styles such as house, progressive, tech, lounge, soulful-jazzy, and sometimes even broken beats or drum’n’bass.
