Jaime Deraz

Jaime Deraz is a singer-songwriter whose lyrics draw from real-life experiences and raw emotions; she captures each moment with picturesque language and a melancholic cadence. The radiant nature of this Long Island native, combined with her sorrow-tinged voice, creates a distinct emotional ambivalence immortalized in her writing.

Since beginning in the music industry in 2019, Jaime Deraz has released over 350 tracks, accumulating more than 170 million streams through her original compositions and collaborations. She has been featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as Dance Rising, NMF Deutschland, NMF Suisse, and on multiple New Music Friday editions worldwide. Her tracks have also been included in editorial selections like Pop Brandneu, Dance Brandneu, Night Rider, Dance Paradise, Swiss Made and Mint Brasil.

In 2021 she co-founded the label faded BLUE records and originated her own electronic music genre called “Heartbreak House” — a form of house music centered on lyrics for broken hearts.

Her emotional stress does not stem solely from romantic relationships: having been her mother’s caregiver for a motor neuron disease, Jaime endured emotional pain she exorcises through songwriting.
