Il Caesar
Biography
Il Caesar was a Norwegian electronic music duo, with a particular focus on Trance and Dance.
The project was formed in 1998 by Thomas Steen Brandi and Frank Granås. They debuted in April 1999 with the single La Musica Electronica. In 1999, Camilla Fearnley joined the project, and Frank Granås left the line-up in 2000.
Their 1999 single Silencio was a major success and charted on Norway’s national charts. Their first album, also titled La Musica Electronica, was released in 2001, preceded by or accompanied by the single Calma. Their last release was the single The Stalker in 2003.
The main members, Thomas S. Brandi and Camilla Fearnley, contributed different skills: Brandi, a lawyer, also financed the project and composed the music in his home studio; Fearnley was trained as a choreographer and model. The original line-up also included Frank Granås, a fashion designer.
Their music, categorized as club electronic music, left a mark on the Norwegian Dance scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
