Biography
Humate is an electronic music project originally formed by producers Gerret Frerichs, Oliver Huntemann and Hans-Georg Schmidt. The latter was also known under the alias Patrick Kjonberg and left the lineup in 1996.
The collective made its mark on the electronic scene with releases on influential labels such as Yoshitoshi and Prolekult.
Their tracks were selected for major compilation series, notably Global Underground and Northern Exposure, mixed by Sash! and John Digweed.
Their musical universe spans several electronic currents, mainly Trance and Techno, while also embracing more atmospheric or laid-back moods such as Ambient and Chillout.
