Houzer

Houzer is the DJ name of Caspa Houzer. Under the alias Jenz im Glück, the project was founded in 1995 by Jens Niederhagen.
In 1996, the debut single Keiner spielt mit mir / Nobody plays with me reached the German sales Top 20. In the 1990s, it also entered the Top 15, stayed 27 weeks in the Media Control Top 30, sold over 500,000 copies, and its video received heavy rotation on MTV and VIVA. The track was later covered by Isi Glück.
After that, releases came out under various pseudonyms. As a producer/remixer, Jens Niederhagen works under the name Caspa Houzer, including with Tina Charles (around I Love To Love) and for a remix of Children by Robert Miles. He also produced exclusive soundtracks for “Rave Around The World” (VOX TV) and is among the official remixers of the “James Bond Hits” for Universal. In total, he has published over 150 tracks on CD or vinyl.
As a DJ, Caspa Houzer mixes a dance set built on bass, beats and melody, combining current house hits with highlights from 40 years of club music, including his own mash-ups. As resident DJ at Germany’s legendary Kinky-Club Beverly, he created the “Freudenhouze” series and played regularly in Ibiza.
Jens Niederhagen, who also holds a degree in psychology, drew attention early as a two-time winner of the national competition “Jugend rockt”, followed by an invitation and an award from the Federal President. He also received a scholarship for classical piano and drums at the Cologne University of Music (Musikhochschule Köln).
Among the productions mentioned, the singles La Loona and Mare were aired countless times in the “Rave around the world” night loop on VOX-TV. His remake of the Kraftwerk classic “Das Model” was used as a soundtrack on “Germanys next Topmodel” (Pro7). The track 1, 2, Cha Cha Cha was linked to the Latin-Dance Championship held in Hong Kong.
More recently, Tik Tik Tok held the No.1 spot in the Technobase.Fm charts for 28 weeks. Oldschool Party, a joint single with Brooklyn Bounce, charted including in France and has passed 2 million streams across Spotify and other platforms.
In 2022, the new electro-rave project NIEDERHAGEN launched, with the single Up & Down. The tracks Party in Ibiza and Put the needle on the record reached the Top 10 of the German dance charts and went into rotation on Sunshine Live as well as on over 70 radio stations worldwide. In 2026, Caspa begins a cooperation with Lazard around Energy.
