Hotel Saint George
Biography
Hotel Saint George is an Italian dance music project formed in 2001, born from the collaboration between Roberto Santini (alias RSDJ) and Giovanni Giorgilli (alias Vanni G). The project also includes Davide Pignataro. The collective is also known under the alias Caramel & Nuts.
Their first single, titled Welcome to my life, was released in April 2002 and found success during the summer. Their second single, Never say never, released in October of the same year, also became a hit and reached a high position in dance music sales charts.
Subsequently, the project released other tracks such as Lost in you, Looking 4 a Good Time, and You can trust in me. The latter song was recorded with former Lollipop lead singer Roberta Ruiu, who used the pseudonym Tiffany at the time. The group also released a first song in Italian, Figli delle Tenebre (Sons of the Darkness).
The project’s name, Hotel Saint George, is said to come from a promise made by its founders to build a hotel in Fiuggi in case of success.
Their musical style falls within the genres of italodance, eurodance, trance, and electronic.
