
Hampenberg
Biography
Hampenberg is a Danish dance music project formed in the late 1990s.
The group was originally a trio composed of producers Morten Hampenberg (also known as DJ Morten Hampenberg) and Thomas Salling Nielsen, joined by singer Lin Samuelsen. The project enjoyed major success in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Their breakthrough single was Last Night, which uses a sample of the track Orinoco Flow. Other hits include Grab That Thing and Ducktoy.
The group released two albums: a self-titled debut in 1999 containing the early hits, followed by a second album titled Duck Off in 2001, which featured Ducktoy and Listen Up.
In 2007, Hampenberg returned as a solo project led by Morten Hampenberg.
