Grace
Biography
Grace is a British music project formed in London in 1995 by producers Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne. The project was initially known as “State Of Grace”. The lead singer was Dominique Atkins.
Grace achieved notable success with its debut single, Not Over Yet, released in 1995. It is important to note that the original version of this track, issued in 1993 under the catalog reference PERF 1T, did not feature Dominique Atkins’ vocals but those of Patti Low. Atkins joined the project after the release of the single I Want To Live, and her voice was added to later versions of Not Over Yet, including the album version and the US release.
Grace came to an end in 1997, mainly because Paul Oakenfold found it difficult to balance the project with his busy DJ schedule. Dominique Atkins later continued her career by fronting other musical projects and collaborating with various DJs.
