Biography
Gosia Andrzejewicz, born Małgorzata Andrzejewicz, is a Polish singer and songwriter born on January 14, 1984, in Bytom.
From a young age, she performed in school shows, participated in national talent competitions, and won over thirty singing contests.
Her first major success came with the release of her self-titled album, «Gosia Andrzejewicz», which contained the hit songs Pózwól żyć and Słowa. The album was a huge commercial success, earning her a gold record.
The single Słowa became the hit of the year 2006 and remained on the playlists of national radio stations for nearly a year. For this achievement, she received the prestigious «Złoty Dziób» award in the «Discovery of the Year» category.
Her following album, «Lustro», generated such enthusiasm that she appeared on the cover of almost all Polish newspapers and many popular magazines. This album also achieved gold status, and the single Trochę ciepła reached 7th place on the RMF FM radio summer hits chart.
She was then nominated in three categories at the 2007 Eska Music Awards: Artist of the Year, Pop Hit of the Year, and Radio Debut of the Year, winning the latter category.
She received the «Super Jedynki» awards in the «Debut of the Year» and «Singer of the Year» categories, as well as a Fryderyki (the Polish equivalent of the Grammy Awards) in the Debut of the Year category.
She was also awarded the VIVA Comet in the Charts Award category and the Popcorn Microphones award in the «Singer of the Year» category.
In 2008, she again received the Popcorn Microphones award for «Singer of the Year 2008».
The album «Wojowniczka» was released in 2009. The music video for the song Otwórz oczy became the most-watched and most-commented Polish video on YouTube at the time and reached number one on the top ten Polish videos on Interia.
The track Zabierz mnie from the same album was considered the most touching ballad of 2009 and remained in the top playlist of the VIVA channel for over four months.
The artist also uses the alias Pearline.
