Flora Cash

Flora Cash

Biography

Flora Cash is a Swedish-American musical duo formed in 2012 by Shpresa Lleshaj (born in Kosovo) and American musician Cole Randall. The couple met that same year on SoundCloud, while Lleshaj was living in Stockholm and Randall in Minneapolis. After connecting online, Lleshaj traveled to Minneapolis to meet him, and they then moved together to Sweden where they immediately founded Flora Cash.

Their first EP, *Mighty Fine*, was released in December 2012, followed by the EPs *Made It for You* (2013) and *I Will Be There* (2014). After signing with the Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art, they released the mini-album *Can Summer Love Last Forever?* in March 2016, which earned them GAFFA Award nominations.

Their mainstream breakthrough came with the song You’re Somebody Else from their first full-length album *Nothing Lasts Forever (And It’s Fine)*. The track reached number one on the US Alternative Radio chart and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The duo made their US television debut on *The Late Late Show with James Corden* and toured with artists such as Sir Sly, Joywave, and AJR between 2018 and 2019. In early 2020, they released the single *Baby, It’s Okay* on RCA Records, which included the Billboard-charting tracks *Missing Home* and *They Own This Town*.
