Flash Point
Biography
Flash Point is a eurodance project founded in Leipzig, Germany, in March 2013 by producer and composer Mike Hoffmann.
Their first release was the song Follow Me, written and composed by Mike Hoffmann, featuring vocals by Laura and rap parts by Chris.
Mike Hoffmann is the project’s producer and rapper. Born in Hamburg and raised in the Lüneburg Heath, he now lives in Leipzig. He has been composing music and writing songs since the age of 14, inspired and motivated by techno and eurodance.
After returning to electronic music two years ago, he began learning recording and mixing. He rediscovered his love for the “Sound of Frankfurt” techno and eurodance, and started researching the synthesizers and sounds used by producers in the 1990s.
Flash Point was created as a fun studio project with amateur female singers and him on rap. Shortly after its formation, the project placed second and third in the Eurodance song contest on the German recording forum “recording.de”.
The idea for Flash Point was born during a eurodance party. Their motivation is to create new eurodance songs in the classic early- and mid-1990s style, with good production quality.
