Eric Lumiere

Eric Lumiere

Biography

Eric Lumiere, born Eric Mathew Lumiere, is an artist, singer and songwriter. His path in electronic music took a notable turn when his former NYU classmate, Bo Pericic, a member of the duo Filo & Peri, proposed creating a trance version of his acoustic song Anthem, originally written as a songwriting assignment.

That remix, Anthem (feat. Eric Lumiere), released in autumn 2007, became a hit: it reached number one on Billboard Dance Airplay in the United States, entered the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart and achieved strong positions in several other European countries. The collaboration led Eric Lumiere to continue working on dance tracks with Filo & Peri.

Primarily known as a singer and topliner in the dance and pop realms, he now devotes more time to his personal artistic project, released under his family name LUMIERE — which means ‘light’ in French. Through his music he aims to share love and light to uplift, inspire and move his audience.

He describes his music as a natural, passionate expression that seeks to touch the heart authentically and powerfully. His lyrics capture specific moments and broader ideals, exploring the many facets of love and life in the modern world. Recently he has released covers of Love Lockdown and of That's Not My Name.
