Eke

Eke

Biography

Formed in Amsterdam, the EKE project draws its roots from free improvisation to create a dynamic and anarchic auditory experience.
The initial formation brought together Yedo Gibson on reeds, Oscar Jan Hoogland on electric clavichord, and Gerri Jäger on percussion, developing a sharp collective language.

Their musical practice, often categorized in the minimal, techno, and electronic domains, incorporates elements of noise, jazz, and composed music from the 20th century.
This approach results in instantaneous compositions with marked contrasts in length, dynamics, and texture.

The group’s activity has been manifested through concerts in venues such as the Bimhuis in Amsterdam or the Loft in Cologne, as well as collaborations and a tour in Brazil.
The track Let You Go is also associated with this artist.
