His hardstyle career began in 2003 while he was working for the label Blutonium Records and started exploring the genre. Over the years, he produced many hardstyle classics that influenced and represented the entire scene, such as the tracks Hardstyle Instructor, Make It Loud, Vampires, Acid Overdose, and Floorkilla.

In May 2009, he announced that he had ended all professional relationships with Blutonium Records due to differing views, marking the beginning of a new independent phase after producing over 130 tracks for the label.
Under the name Christopher Ast, he is also known by the alias Ninkid.
