Biography
Conrad Sewell, born in Brisbane, is a singer-songwriter who has performed professionally since the age of 8. His voice gained wide recognition with the piano ballad “Start Again” (2015), which reached No. 1 on the Australian charts and won the ARIA ‘Song of the Year’. The single appears on his debut studio album “LIFE”.
His career reached international levels through his collaboration with Norwegian DJ-producer Kygo on “Firestone”, which lit up charts worldwide and now has more than one billion streams. That success marked his transition to a solo artist after earlier stints in the pop group The Frets and the rock band Sons of Midnight.
Building on that experience, he opened arena tours for stars such as Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Jess Glynne. For the recording of his long-awaited album “Precious”, he was determined to capture the authenticity and raw power of his voice, feeling it had not yet been fully conveyed on previous recordings.
