Biography
Anna Jenny Charlotte Jensen Perrelli, known professionally as Charlotte Perrelli, is a Swedish singer, television host, and entrepreneur, born on October 7, 1974 in Hovmantorp.
She is famous for her participations in Melodifestivalen, which she won twice (in 1999 and 2008) and which she also hosted. Her victory in 1999 with the song Take Me To Your Heaven allowed her to win the Eurovision Song Contest the same year, marking Sweden’s fourth win. She represented her country again in 2008 with Hero.
Throughout her career, she has explored various musical styles, including dansband, schlager, modern pop, soul ballads, and jazz. She has recorded several solo albums in English and Swedish.
She was also active under the name Charlotte Nilsson, particularly during her Eurovision win. She is married to Italian restaurateur Nicola Ingrosso, and the couple adopted the surname Perrelli.
