Caramella Girls

Caramella Girls

Biography

Caramella Girls is a virtual group created by the label Remixed Records in 2008 to promote the song Caramelldansen. The project is associated with the names Mindy, Nadine, and Vera.

Their first international appearance dates back to May 1, 2008, on the cover of the Speedy Mix of Caramell’s second and final album, “Supergott”, which contained the track that later became an internet meme. Remixed Records collaborated with Quake Records (later Exit Records) to promote Caramelldansen to the Japanese audience, leading to the design of three new characters. Two of them are based on the original singers of Caramell, and the third references the meme itself. Giovanni Sconfienza, the CEO of Remixed Records, recreated and redesigned these three characters for the international audience.

In 2019, Remixed Records conducted a complete rebranding, renaming all associated releases on music platforms from Caramell to “Caramella Girls”. Their musical style is associated with nightcore and europop.
