Biography

Bryan Guy Adams, born on November 5, 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, is a versatile Canadian artist: guitarist, singer, composer, producer, photographer and philanthropist.

He began his musical career as a teenager in the band Sweeney Todd before launching his solo career. He first achieved success in Canada, then internationally with albums such as ‘Reckless’, ’18 til I Die’ and ‘Waking Up the Neighbours’. His single (Everything I Do) I Do For You, from the soundtrack of the film ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’, achieved worldwide success.

His music is frequently used in films, which has earned him several Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for his compositions.

Outside of music, Bryan Adams is an accomplished photographer, having published works such as « Made in Canada ». He is also involved in philanthropic activities.

He was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada and is inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame as well as the Juno Awards Music Hall of Fame.
