Biba Binoche

Biba Binoche

Biography

Biba Binoche is the stage name of Betty Owczarek, a Belgian media personality.

She first gained fame by participating in the first Belgian edition of the reality TV show Big Brother, becoming a very popular sex symbol in her country. She also posed for Playboy magazine in 2001.

Initially, she began a music career under the simple name Betty, performing songs in Dutch. In 2003, wishing to renew her image, she adopted the pseudonym Biba Binoche to move towards a more electronic musical style.

Her first single under this new name is a cover of the song Je T'aime Mélancolie, released in 2003 on the Mostiko label. This trance-style version became a major success in the Belgian charts.

She then released a second track, Si Douce, described as sensual and elegant electronic pop, which also performed well.

For these productions, she collaborated with producers Frank Jordens and Mark Requilé (known for his work with Evil Superstars), with whom she worked on her first album.

Her cover of Je T'aime Mélancolie earned her some recognition within the club scene, particularly in Germany and the United Kingdom.
