Bellini
Biography
Bellini is a German Euro House project formed in 1997 by producers Gottfried Engels and Ramon Zenker, a duo also known as The Bellini Brothers, from which the group’s name is derived.
The project is best known for the football anthem Samba de Janeiro. In May 2014 the group released the single Samba do Brasil, a rearranged version with Portuguese lyrics of their earlier hit; their second studio album, titled ‘Festival’, was released the same year.
The project has been represented by various line-ups: the original singer Dandara Santos-Silva as well as Lisa Frieg and Megan; associated members also include Annemarie Carpendale.
Note that there are other artists with the same name — including an international indie/math rock band and the Italian opera composer Vincenzo Bellini — which this entry does not refer to.
