Alex Party
Biography
Alex Party is an electronic music project in the Euro house style, formed in 1993 by Italian brothers Paolo Visnadi and Gianni Visnadi together with DJ Alex Natale.
Their first single, Read My Lips (Saturday Night Party), had immediate success and became an Ibiza anthem; the track was subsequently included on many dance music compilations.
After adding British singer Shanie (Shanie Campbell), they released the single Don't Give Me Your Life, in a style similar to their debut; it reached No. 2 on the CIN charts and won the Club Record category at Music Week’s 1995 Awards, also appearing on popular compilations worldwide.
The group released an album simply titled Alex Party, which contains the tracks Wrap Me Up and Simple Things, but not the original version of their first single—only a remix titled Read My Lips (September Party).
The single U Gotta Be, released in 2000, was a standalone track and represents Alex Party’s final single.
Subsequently, Shanie released a remake of Don't Give Me Your Life under her own name on 5 May 2008, accompanied by a music video; promotional tracks such as You're Still The One, Read My Lips and Piano In The Dark also circulated under her name, taken from an announced album titled Night Fever that had no confirmed release date.
