Airscape
Biography
Airscape is a trance project, primarily known as an alias of the two famous DJs and producers Johan Gielen and Sven Maes.
The project was initiated in 1993 by Johan Gielen in collaboration with Jos Borremans. Sven Maes joined the project in 1997 and worked on it until 2005, when he left Airscape, putting the project on hold.
In 2009, Johan Gielen and Ben Huijbregts revived the project with the single “My Love” featuring American singer Jes Brieden. Ben Huijbregts was replaced in 2014 by Peetu Sainio (alias Peetu S).
Other collaborators have contributed to the project over the years, including Oliver Adams in 1995 and 2013, and Jan Vervloet in 2013.
The project is associated with the genres of trance, progressive trance, vocal trance, and uplifting trance.
