Biography

Admiral C4C, born Ihumezie Christian Nnadozie, is a Nigerian singer from Lagos whose career has gained strong momentum in Europe and notable recognition in Romania under the management of agent Radu Groza.

Born on June 3 into an intellectual family — his father served in the Navy before becoming a journalist at the “Daily Times” — he lost his parents at nine and was raised by a tutor. He turned to music at eleven. His work blends electronic rhythms with a personal take on dancehall, influenced by Bob Marley, and often reflects themes of solitude and resilience.

In 2000 he recorded his first single, Show Me Love, with the group Kanaan KNGHTZ, which included his brother Emanuel Ihumezie. In 2001 he released the independent album “P.S 101”, which sold 500,000 copies and produced several singles and videos that established him across Africa.

He moved to Cyprus to study tourism and management at the American University in Nicosia while continuing to compose. Returning to the European scene, he earned nominations and awards: BEFTA nomination for “Best International Project” (2010, 2013), “Best reggae and dancehall singer” at the Nigeria Music Awards, Merit Awards (ADMA) Amsterdam in 2013, and successes in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.

In Romania, under Radu Groza’s guidance, hits such as Boom, bang, OMG (1 million YouTube views and over 4 million on the Chinese site Yokou) and Drop the Boom (2 million views at launch) expanded his audience. In 2015 he toured the UK and played over 130 concerts in Eastern Europe, receiving awards including “Best Media Act” at the Mamaia Music Awards and “Best African Artist” at the Dutch Music Awards.

He collaborated with Jamaican Nyanda (formerly of Brick & Lace) on Outta Control, which entered the US Top Ten and won at the Miami Music Awards. In 2016 he was honored at the Awards Africans in the Diaspora (Romania) and donated 10,000 EUR to humanitarian causes in Nigeria.

Privately, he is linked with Ana Maria from Cluj, whom he met in Cyprus; they have a son, Zion, and plan to marry. He collects jewelry — notably a diamond ring of 18 Karate — and occasionally enjoys casino games (roulette, blackjack), describing his play as a measured pastime.
