Biography

Euro (born Eufradis Rodriguez, October 28, 1992) is a Dominican-American artist. His stage name “Euro” comes from the first two letters of his first and last name: “Eu” (Eufradis) and “Ro” (Rodriguez).

He began developing his rapping skills at age 7 through Christian rap in his father’s church.

Lil Wayne announced him as the newest Young Money Entertainment signee via the mixtape Dedication 5, where Euro appears in 2013 on four tracks: “Ain’t Worried,” “Cream,” “Fuckin’ Problems,” and “Live Life.” Lil Wayne said he was drawn to his straight-to-the-point lyrical style.

He later appeared on the label’s second compilation album, Young Money: Rise of an Empire, on three songs, including the first single We Alright, as well as “Bang” and his solo track “Induction Speech.”

In 2014, he took part in a “Street Heat” freestyle session trading verses with Cory Gunz, and released a freestyle over the beat for Rico Richie’s “Poppin,” produced by 808 Mafia.

On July 31, 2014, Euro released the seven-track mixtape July as a preview of Don’t Expect Nothing. Announced for 2014 and delayed multiple times, Don’t Expect Nothing was ultimately released on September 20, 2019.
