Da Tweekaz
Biography
Da Tweekaz is a hardstyle production and DJ duo originally from Oslo, Norway, and now based in Belgium.
The group consists of the two members Marcus Philip Berg-Iversen Nordli and Kenth Kvien.
Before entering the hardstyle scene in 2007, they were already producing various kinds of intense electronic music.
Their first tracks, “Angeli Domini” and “Crowsong”, initially circulated as promos before being leaked on Polish and Russian websites.
Their first major launch on a significant hardstyle label, Dirty Workz, occurred in 2010, following an initial release on Spider Records.
In 2012, the duo briefly moved to the Netherlands to facilitate participation in the many festivals held in the Benelux region.
Informally nicknamed the “Kings of Cheese”, Da Tweekaz are recognized for their energetic, catchy melodies, as well as their offbeat sense of humor.
This playful spirit is particularly visible in the official music videos for tracks like “Wodka” and “Tequila”, which depict exaggerated alcohol consumption.
They also created very personal “remixed” versions of the 2015 and 2016 Defqon.1 anthems by integrating their signature sound of rubber duck squeaks, giving birth to the tracks “No Ducks No Glory” and “DragonDucks”.
Under the alias Tweekacore, they also explore the faster tempos of hardcore and happy hardcore, around 175 BPM, making a name for themselves in this parallel scene.
The duo is signed to the Belgian label Dirty Workz and continues to produce both hardstyle and higher-tempo projects.
