Biography

Jaël is the stage name of Swiss singer and composer Rahel Krebs, born on August 19, 1979 in Bern.

She is primarily known as the singer of the band Lunik.

Her solo career and collaborations have made her internationally famous in the trance music community, while maintaining significant recognition in Switzerland through her work with Lunik.

She collaborated with the project Delerium, co-writing and performing the tracks After All on the album “Chimera” (2003), Lost and Found on “Nuages du Monde” (2007), and Light Your Light on “Music Box Opera” (2012).

She was also the voice on DJ Tatana‘s single Always On My Mind in 2004, which had moderate success in the Swiss charts.

She can also be heard on two tracks (You Remain and Stop Crying) from Mich Gerber’s album “Tales Of The Wind” (2004), as well as on the track Tired from Schiller‘s album “Sehnsucht” (2008).

A special track, I Need You, written for Schiller’s 2008 tour, is available in its live version on the “Sehnsucht Live” DVD.

Her pseudonym Jaël originates from the difficulties she had as a child pronouncing her real name correctly.

Variations of her name include Jael Malli, Jaël Krebs, Jael (Of Lunik), or Jael From Lunik.
