QED
Biography
The project QED, whose name is the acronym of the Latin phrase “quod erat demonstrandum” meaning “which was to be demonstrated,” is an electronic music duo formed by Valentin and singer Kristine Hendricks.
Valentin, artist, writer, and producer, is the mastermind behind QED. He achieved international success with his remix of Deborah Cox‘s track “Something Happened on the Way to Heaven” and his “uplifting” remix of Christina Aguilera‘s hit “Beautiful,” which reached number one on the Billboard Dance chart.
Their album “Mobius” includes tracks like Love Bites, an energetic cover of the classic by Def Leppard, and Hardly a Day, a composition with an infectious melody and euphoric accents. The album also features Vampyre, a track with tribal and trance sounds, showcasing the operatic vocal performance of Kristine Hendricks. It also contains the ballad Islands, an enchanting duet, as well as the electronic and sensual track Alone. The album concludes with Epilogue, a track with aggressive guitars and epic ambition.
Their live show is described as an immersive multimedia experience, blending high-velocity danceable grooves, crafted melodies, and real-time generated visual projections using computers and musical instruments, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the world of video games and anime. The duo has performed, among other places, at the “Not So Silent Night” concert in Miami.
