Biography
Irina Rimes, real name Irina Rîmeș, is a Moldovan singer and composer born on August 22, 1991 in Izvoare.
She grew up in a musical family environment, influenced by her paternal grandmother who sang in a church choir. From a young age, she was interested in writing poetry and composing.
She studied at the “Constantin Stere” theoretical high school in Soroca, then at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chișinău.
Her professional career began in 2012 when she participated in the Moldovan TV show “Fabrica de staruri”, reaching the final and gaining recognition.
Her first single, Visele, achieved immediate success and remained at the top of the charts in Romania for several weeks, propelling her to the forefront of the music scene.
She is recognized for releasing the first musical trilogy in Romania, #IubiriSecrete, inspired by a personal experience. This trilogy includes the songs #IubireaNoastraMuta, #DaCeTu and #HainaTa.
On the contractual side, she signed with the Romanian label Quantum Music in 2015, then joined Global Records in 2016. She now lives and works in Bucharest.
Her musical style is mainly pop, incorporating Romanian and Moldovan influences.
