Biography

Regard is the stage name of Kosovo DJ Dardan Aliu.
As a teenager, he first shared DIY remixes on YouTube and Soundcloud from his childhood bedroom. By 2017, he landed his first international success by teaming up with Drop G on an official remix of “I Can’t Be” by Hakkan Akkus, which kicked off his rise.

In 2019, he released Ride It, a remix of a 2008 song by Jay Sean. The track went viral on TikTok and became an international hit, reaching 1.3 billion Spotify streams and earning an RIAA platinum certification.

In 2020, he joined forces with RAYE on “SECRETS.” Dua Lipa later recruited him for a remix of “Don’t Start Now.” He also collaborated with Troye Sivan and Tate McRae on “You,” which is platinum-certified and hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart; the trio also performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and NME praised it as “a sultry rendition.”

He has received nominations at the BRIT Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The name Regard also refers to an Italian music collective whose members are Bruno Mosca, Oddone Conizzi, Daniele Manini, "Speedy" Fabrizio Spadea, Paolo Civita and Corrado Vismara.
