A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, she spent her formative years between Southern and Northern California, and after graduating divided her time between Los Angeles, New York City, and Toronto, Canada, focusing on music and songwriting.
She gained recognition after posting a popular YouTube cover of Tuesday (featuring Drake). In 2016, Turkish DJ/producer Burak Yeter remixed the song and released it through Warner Music. The version earned multiple platinum awards worldwide, reached No. 1 in more than 70 countries on iTunes and Shazam, surpassed 1 billion online streams, and appeared on various Billboard 100 charts including Sweden, Canada, and Mexico, while peaking at No. 1 in Germany.
Following the international success of Tuesday, she released original music including “Mad About You,” produced by Dutch musician/producer Koni, which saw moderate success in Europe and North America.
In 2018 she released her debut EP “For Love,” inspired by time spent in Toronto. The project was well received by critics, and her track “Hands” was described as a pop song with electronic leanings.
