Sensation

Sensation is a large-scale dance event created by Dutch party organization ID&T. It started as a one-night event in the Amsterdam ArenA Stadium, and was later split into two editions: a “white” edition where mostly house and trance are played, and a “black” edition focused mainly on harder styles such as hard trance, hardstyle and hardcore.

After its launch, the concept was exported to neighbouring countries like Belgium and Germany. Since 2005, Sensation has been held at least once in many countries, including Poland, Spain, Chile, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Russia, Denmark, England, Lithuania, Portugal, Brazil, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Norway, Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, South Korea, Thailand, the USA, Taiwan and Turkey. In 2013, Sensation was held for the first time in Italy, Canada and South Africa.

Various artists have produced theme tracks for Sensation events, including The Rush and Rank 1. Some were released under the artists’ own names, while others used “Sensation” as the artist name.
