
Twiins
Biography
Twiins is a Slovak vocal duo consisting of twin sisters Daniela Nízlová and Veronika Nízlová. Formed in 1996 under the name “Tweens”, it was renamed “Twice As Nice” in 2006, before definitively adopting the name Twiins in 2008. They were backing vocalists and dancers for Tereza Kerndlová, the Czech contestant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The duo is known for their cover of the song Boys titled “Boys, Boys, Boys”, featuring German rapper Carlprit in January 2010. They represented Slovakia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with their song “I’m Still Alive”. Having started singing at an early age, they studied management at Comenius University of Management to manage their music career. They released several albums certified gold and platinum in Slovakia and hosted their own television show “Hitbox” for four years. In 2008, they collaborated with American producer Jimmy Douglass (known for his work with Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, and Justin Timberlake) on the song “I Don’t Know”. They later signed with the American label “B RECORDS” and moved to Los Angeles to work on an international version of an album. Their musical style is associated with pop and indie dance.
